Spring Home Decor Inspiration: Floral Pillows, Slipcovers & Fabric Deals
One of my favorite pastimes is browsing for beautiful fabrics online at great prices and dreaming up all of the gorgeous projects I could make with them. Let’s be real, though—if I tried to buy every fabric I loved, I’d need an Amazon-sized warehouse! So instead, I want to share some ideas that might inspire others and make my searching feel worthwhile. In this edition, I’ve put together a collection of fabulous fabric options perfect for floral decor. Can you tell this cold weather has me thinking about spring? Whether you're thinking about slipcovers or throw pillows, these lovely floral patterns will add a splash of color, romance, and contrast to your home.
First up this is classic floral from Ballard Design. The Laura Floral Parchment fabric is a nice blend of cotton and linen and the price is almost as beautiful as the fabric - only $33/yard right now. It makes elegant pillows but would also be an excellent choice for a chair slipcover.
Another great option from Ballard Design is the Welling Rose fabric. The brightness of the green screams spring and pairs beautifully with the pops of pink. I absolutely love the bolster they featured on their website. It rounds out the bed styling so well. Here at the shop we make most of our bolsters with a super soft foam that keeps it’s shape but has a nice, cozy squish to it. This one is on sale for $52.50/yard, down from $70/yard.
This Basmati Cornsilk fabric is on sale for only $24.14/yard. The 60s-70s color palette is a little more subdued but still feels really rich. Throw pillows would add a fun retro touch to any space but I’d also LOVE to see this fabric used for an ottoman slipcover!
Tonic Living is another great resource for reasonable priced home decor fabrics. I love that their offerings a little more curated so if their aesthetic suits your style they’re a great one stop shop. Below are two of my current favorite florals from their site. First is a block print style pattern in rich colors and the second has a soft, washed denim vibe more along the lines of Ralph Lauren. These aren’t currently on sale but the price point is nice enough to recommend!
I hope you enjoyed this floral excursion!
